I’m sorry.
Two powerful words.
As a parent, sometimes it’s hard to be the one to speak them to your child. But when we’re wrong, we desperately need to admit it. It models having a humble heart. It affirms that our children have value. It gives them a chance to offer forgiveness, a skill that they’ll need for life.
Admitting failure, saying we’re sorry, isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s a way to build strength into our relationships with our kids and teach about forgiveness along the way.
