Gratitude. In an I-Want-It-Now society, being thankful isn’t always easy. Our kids are bombarded with messages about needing the latest clothes, toys, and gadgets. The mantra is more – more – more.
We’re getting ready to enter a season of Thanksgiving. It’s time to be intentional about being thankful for what we have. I’m not talking about just our material possessions. I’m talking about family, friends, our church, our very lives. We have much to be thankful for.
One way to be intentional about teaching thankfulness is by using a gratitude journal. Last year we created this free printable gratitude journal for Life Your Way. We’ll be using it again this year. Each day we’ll take turns sharing something that we’re thankful for. If you have older kids, you might even want to print a copy for each of them.
The season of I-Want-It is coming. Now’s the time to counter it by being intentional and focusing on how blessed we are. Join us?
You can print your gratitude journal here.
