There are very few things that I’m brand loyal with. Toothpaste happens to be one of those items. We’re a Colgate Total family just because our dental visits have actually improved since switching to Colgate. That said, you’ll notice four tubes of Crest toothpaste in my Kroger picture from Sunday. Check it out.
Spent: $24.39 (including papers)
Saved: $32.25 (56%)
Catalinas Earned: $10.00
So why bother with the Crest? They were 100% free after coupons! Crest was on sale last week (and is again this week) for $1.00. I found 4 $.50 off coupons in my Coupon Clutch, making all 4 FREE. They’ll either go in our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes or in the food pantry donation bag. Either way, they’re going to be used by someone who needs them.
The Colgate also went toward my total being over $25, meaning that I scored another FREE bag of sugar! (This was a promo offered by our local stores last weekend.) So not only was I able to snag some free toothpaste, I got free sugar for us! (Ironic, isn’t it… sugar and toothpaste?)
I also took advantage of the Kraft cheese catalina that’s available right now. For every 5 Kraft cheese items (bars, shreds, or singles) you buy, you get a $5 catalina back when you check out. I bought 10 and got back $10. This promo is still going on, and Kroger has Kraft singles for $1.79 each. So you might want to take advantage of that deal.
I was just pretty excited to walk out of the store with $10 worth of catalinas. This isn’t something that I’ve done much with at Kroger, but I’m going to start watching for them. More on catalinas later……….
